I am sad to say that I follow Jenelle and all of her love interests on Twitter. I feel bad for her. She really has no one who is just looking out for her. I hate to simplify it to daddy issues, but I really think she is someone who just desperately wants to feel loved. That, I think, is a good lesson for how we treat our own daughters. We need to make sure we make them feel loved so they don’t feel the obsessive need to find it elsewhere.

Sheri, Exactly. I am not so old that I don’t remember a lot of these. While it wasn’t televised like it is now, it still happened. If we act like prudes and shield our kids from it, they will simply think we don’t know what we are talking about. I think if you try to relate to them on their level and show an understanding, you will get a lot further.

Louise, look at the gun law just passed in NY. While Feinstein’s bill does not go that far, there are those who are taking advantage of the situation. At what point, do we fight back against it? Also, reading the legislation, it goes much further than even the original ban that was overturned in 1994.

I would concede a few points with you IF anything in this bill would have prevented any of the recent shootings. The fact is that there are other issues we need to consider, calmly, before addressing an outright ban of any weapons.

Some, not all, see this as an opportunity to play politics. Just today there is an article about how this is the next women’s issue. They are already getting their war on women talking points together. This is just the beginning of this fight.

September 25 is National Voter Registration Day!!

From spending two hours outside a Library or Grocery or planning to be at a big event... the time you spend on Voter Registration is critical for 2012. We need to start now.

Not only are you registering voters, but by participating, you are getting the word out about common sense conservative values that we all believe in.
